I get asked all the time how to make a website rank for a given search. Or put another way, and to coin a phrase,  what is good SEO?

It’s a bugger of a question as there really are no simple answers… There are so many individual factors it would take a month of Sundays just to list them. And then another couple of equally Sabbath-rich lunar phases to describe them.

Then, this morning I came across this extremely compelling yet succinct article by fellow beardy Matt Legend Gemmell (yes that is his  real middle name apparently…). He does a rather good job of laying out some basic principles:  SEO for non-dicks.  Read it.
